A book about the salvation of Jews by the Polish clergy was presented in Bialystok

A lecture and presentation of a book by Priest Tadeusz Kragel entitled “The salvation of Jews by Polish clergy during World War II” took place at the Archdiocese Archive and Museum in Bialystok.

“So I tried to trace the entire diocese and it turned out that I have documented 144 priests, including three seminarians, so the scale of the salvation of Jews by the clergy is great. I must say that saving Jews was punishable by death for both the one who hid them and the hidden Jews, and six or seven of our priests died for this,” the author said.

The presentation of the book by Priest Tadeusz Kragel “The salvation of Jews by the Polish clergy during World War II” was held as part of the 42nd Days of Christian Culture in Bialystok. The publication is available for purchase at the Archdiocese Archive and Museum in Bialystok.
