Belarusian performer Aliaksei Kuzmich has gone on hunger strike, as his sentence in France has been extended. This is stated on his Facebook page. It is also reported that Kuzmich refused to sign any papers.
Aliaksei Kuzmich has conducted a number of scandalous performances in Belarus, including political overtones. A criminal case has been opened against him in Belarus. The artist left his homeland, but also staged several performances in France. He recently dug up Van Gogh’s grave, for which he was detained by the police. The court punished Kuzmich with a fine and decided to deport him to Belarus. The artist is currently in the Paris deportation center.
