Operating in Ukraine, he announced a recitation contest in Belarusian, timed to coincide with the International Mother Language Day, which is celebrated on February 21. Everyone is invited to participate, including visitors to the Belarusian language courses at the House of Free Belarus.
“All Belarusians can definitely join, it’s International Mother Language Day. And launching such a flash mob so that people can join, shoot videos, and post them online to promote the Belarusian language is great. We are doing this here to somehow encourage Belarusians here in Ukraine,” says Aliaksey Frantskevich, head of the foundation.
The authors of the most original and interesting performances will receive a flip calendar for 2025 with images of the heroes who gave their lives for the freedom of Belarus and Ukraine.
