The village bench is a place where residents once met in their free time, discussed the most important local events, exchanged opinions, and in the evenings the youth spent time singing.
There are still some wooden benches in Podlasie, but you can no longer hear their songs.
In the municipality of Narewka in the Hajnowka district, they are trying to return these customs. From the age of five, they arrange “Micro-concerts at the bench”, with which musicians visit villages in this gmina.
On August 16, such a meeting took place in the village of Ochrymy.
