Movie about Belarusian political prisoner journalist is being released in Polish cinema

The film ”Under the Grey Sky” by Belarusian director Maria Tamkovich is being released in Polish cinema. From March 28, it will be available to watch on big screens. Other details about the shows are still unknown.

The film is dedicated to the political prisoner Katsiaryna Andreeva, a journalist who was thrown behind bars in Belarus after streaming from the Change Square. The journalist of the Belsat TV channel was tried twice and given a huge prison sentence of 8 years and 3 months in total.

Last year, the film participated in the Tribeca Film Festival (USA), and also won the award for best debut film at the Polish Film Festival in Gdynia.
