
Teodor Golonko, a long-time activist of the Belarusian national minority in Poland, died in Warsaw over the age of 100. A representative of the generation that was at the origins of the Belarusian movement in the post-war period.
Chairman of the Belarusian Union in Poland Eugeniusz Wappa, who met Teodor Golonko in the 80s, recalled the “imagery, character, humor and irony” that was inherent in the deceased.

The farewell to the activist of the Belarusian national minority in Poland is scheduled for July 10, at the Church of St. John Climacus, on Wolska Street in Warsaw. Teodor Golonko will be buried in the Orthodox cemetery nearby.
