The conference “Awakening of monuments” opened in Bialystok

The protection of monuments in Podlasie and new research facilities are the focus of the conference “Awakening of Monuments”, which opened at the Hasbacha Palace in Bialystok.

“There is a bit of a white spot here, and we want to change that. First, to find out what kind of bells we have on the Podlasie. They can be very different. They may be from the territory of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania, or from the former Belarus, the former Lithuania. They can also be from the expanses of the crown. The study is still before us,” says the deputy of the Podlaskie conservator of Monuments, Professor Karol Lapoteсki.

Among the speakers of the “Awakening of Monuments” conference are representatives of such institutions as the Institute of Art of the Polish Academy of Sciences, the Podlaskie Museum, the Museum of Agriculture in Ciechanowiec, the Institute of National Heritage of the University in Bialystok.
