The first Belarusian Christmas Festival was held in Bialystok for two days.
On the first day, a master class on cooking traditional Christmas dishes was held. After that, a musical journey through the carols of different countries and peoples of the world.
On the second day, special workshops on the cutting and weaving of straw spiders were held. And the festival ended with Batleyka (puppet theatre) and carolers.
The organizers and participants of the festival say, “The format may be a bit chamber-like, but we were looking for ways to spend time and share the festive atmosphere in different places and forms. I think, on the whole, it turned out well, because after each meeting, people came out in a good mood, satisfied and grateful. You can hear people talking every time: it’s worth repeating”.
The first Belarusian Christmas Festival in Bialystok was held in cooperation with the Center for Belarusian Culture, the Belarusian Diaspora and the Belarusian hub Novaya Ziamlya.
