The Podlaskie Opera and Philharmonic hosted a press conference dedicated to the results of last year and plans for 2025.
Marshal of the Podlaskie Voivodeship Lukasz Prokorym stressed the importance of the institution’s work for the residents of the entire Podlaskie region.
“The Podlaska Opera is our pride. The number of concerts conducted by the opera, artistic and cultural events, as well as impresario, led to the fact that every sixth resident of the Podlaskie Voivodeship visited the Opera and Philharmonic of Podlasie. We do not forget about the smallest inhabitants of our region. We have many attractions dedicated to them, so we travel around the province. Over the past three months, we have visited 20 cities,” he said.
The director of the Podlaskie Opera and Philharmonic, Professor Violetta Bielecka, invited Belarusians from Podlasie to attend a concert by composer and conductor Jerzy Maksymiuk, a native of Grodna, who studied in Bialystok.
“He is an outstanding creator, conductor, and composer. He was a student of my late, Professor Zofia Frankiewicz. He graduated from the First Music School here, and I know that this is what pushed him to go further in this direction,” she said.
During the press conference, conductor Tomasz Szymus invited all music lovers to attend cinematic music concerts, which will be held on January 10 and 11. Tickets are available at the box offices of the Podlaska Opera and Philharmonic and online.
