The poetry festival “Poems on asphalt” starts in Vilnius

The International Poetry Festival in Memory of Mikhas Straltsou “Poems on asphalt” will be held in Vilnius from February 13 to 16.

It will bring together musicians, publishers, book distributors, but above all, poets and translators who will present the fruits of their labor over the past year. Among others, writer Uladzimir Arlou and the Foundation Kamunikat.org from Bialystok will take part in the festival.

“This is a very important platform for meeting Belarusian writers, writers, people of speech, but also for publishers. Because on the occasion of this festival, as it was in Belarus, and now in Vilnius, there is a book fair. To present our new products, what we have given out over the past year, over the year that has passed since the last festival, and we have given out a lot,” says Jaroslaw Iwaniuk, head of the Foundation.

The annual Mikhas Straltsou International Poetry Festival ”Poems on Asphalt” was founded in 2012 by the Union of Belarusian Writers and the Belarusian PEN Center.
