The third festival of the Belarusian tradition “Soncahraj” has begun today, May 31, in Bialystok, and ahead of it are the following points – Witowo, Suprasl and Nowosady. Festival participants and guests will be united by joint singing, dancing and entertainment.
“The current idea is the so-called unplugged. We want to get closer to such a traditional village fun, where people sang and danced on a patch near a bench in the courtyard. So it will be here, at the entrance to the museum At the Town Hall. We are making a platform where we will sing together, where we will dance. First of all, we are glad that we were able to invite guests, because this year there is a problem with this. This problem is not completely connected with us,” said Dzmitry Koscin, a representative of the Tutaka Foundation, the main initiator and creator of the festival “Soncahraj”.
According to him, the Tutaka Foundation was recognized by the Lukashenka authorities as extremist on Instagram. “We all know that problems can be created for people in Belarus, so for the safety of our friends, with whom we have met for many years, we decided to fill the festival with those forces that exist abroad,” Koscin said.
