The XII Festival of independent Belarusian Culture has begun in Wroclaw

The Festival of Independent Belarusian culture has been held in Wroclaw for 12 years in a row from October 16 to 20. The large-scale event has two main organizers – the Community of Belarusians of Wroclaw and the Foundation “Za wolność naszą i waszą”.

According to Siarhey Dubina, chairman of the Council of the group of Belarusians of Wroclaw, five very intensive days of performances, excursions to museums, excursions around Wroclaw, open discussion, book fairs, various workshops, interactive entertainment, literary meetings, the start of a new season of Belarusian language courses, organization of sports events are planned within the framework of the festival, and all this will end with a concert of the group “KRIWI”. 

“Another thing we are preparing for now is the organization of the “Night of the Not-Executed Poets”. We have not decided on the date yet, as we are looking for a large room,” Dubina said.

Already today, on October 16, the first day of the festival is taking place in Wroclaw. The program includes a tour of the exhibition at the Pan Tadeusz Museum and the play “Incredible Slavs”.
