The Spanish newspaper El Periodico, citing police sources, reported the arrest of five people in the autonomous region of Catalonia on suspicion of terrorist activities.
According to information, among the detainees are two Russian citizens, as well as citizens of Colombia, Belarus and Spain. The arrests took place on the evening of February 6.
According to police sources, the detainees are mostly young men, about 20 years old. One of the detainees is a 50-year-old Colombian citizen.
The detainees are accused of terrorism and participation in a criminal organization. According to the investigation, the suspects took actions aimed “against the support of the governments and associations of Ukraine.” They are suspected of criminal activities in different parts of Europe since the beginning of the war.
The actions of this group were coordinated on the orders of the Russian leadership.
