A counter-terrorism operation regime has been introduced in Belarus on the border with Ukraine

In the Lelchitsky district of the Gomel region the KGB has introduced a counter-terrorism operation regime. The Ukrainian military reacted calmly.

The introduced regime of the counter-terrorism operation is reported by the local district. There is no information about what exactly happened. In a notification from the KGB directorate for the Gomel region, the population of the district is asked to remain calm and obey the demands of law enforcement officers.

“Belorussky Gayun” writes that at least three helicopters from Minsk arrived in the area.

Lelchitsy is located 10 km from the border with Ukraine.

During the counter-terrorism operation regime introduced in the Lelchitsky district Ukrainian border guards do not notice any active actions on the border. This was stated by the speaker of the State Border Service of Ukraine Andriy Demchenko in a comment to the “Zerkalo” website.
