The action of solidarity with Ukraine was a response to the meeting between Volodymyr Zelensky and Donald Trump at the White House.
“We can see everything happening now, that in the eleventh year of the war, the whole world should already understand who is to blame for that war, who is the victim, and who is the aggressor. And here we gathered for Euromaidan in Warsaw. A democracy rally and a women’s strike to remind the whole world that Putin is a war criminal, that Russia is an aggressor, and that Ukraine is fighting for freedom and needs the support of the entire democratic world,” said Nadia Viberska, an activist with the “Euromaidan Warsaw” group.
Banners with slogans were seen during the demonstration: “Budapest 1994: Pacta sunt servanda”, “Russia is a terrorist state”, “Glory to the Heroes”, “we are with Ukraine”, as well as images of Volodymyr Zelensky.
