By April 1, Belarus plans to create a system for exchanging information with Russia about foreigners who are banned from entering.
In 2017, Belarus and Russia signed a protocol on the exchange of information about “non-entry” Belarusians and Russians, and the exchange of information about foreigners was not normalized, although Belarusian border guards refused entry primarily to citizens of Ukraine.
Belarus has legalized the exchange of information with Russia about foreigners who cross the Belarusian border and are banned from entering or leaving, or have their documents revoked for residence in Russia or Belarus, or are sent to sports or cultural events.
As noted in the decree of the Belarusian dictator published on the National Legal Internet portal Belarus, such an information exchange system will be created before April 1, 2025.
