Belarusian companies are involved in circumventing Western sanctions on the supply of microelectronics to Russia. The corresponding investigation was published by the Belarusian Investigative Center (BIC) with the support of “Cyber Partisans”.
According to the BIC, from September 2022 to June 2024, Belarusian companies sold chips worth more than $125 million to Russian enterprises. Moreover, some of these chips worth 400 thousand dollars were made in the West. In total, almost 10 thousand chips were sent.
The researchers call the leader in the amount of supplies of Western microchips to Russia through Belarus Belarusian company “The First Continent”. The campaign was created two months after the start of the full-scale Russian aggression in Ukraine.
