The Diaspora is preparing actions for the main day of the so-called presidental elections (26.01.2025), since Belarusians abroad cannot officially vote as part of the electoral campaign.
The people’s embassies of Belarus will have a centralized program, while Belarusians in different countries can initiate their own actions,” said Mikhail Rubin, a representative of the Belarusian diaspora in Germany.
“Unfortunately, not only in our city or in our country, but also from all Belarusians living around the world, the main mechanism was taken away, where they could express their will and express specific wishes regarding elections or the so-called “non-elections.” We were deprived of the right to vote, so we have very few opportunities to really influence the situation,” he said.
Mikhail Rubin summed up that after the winter holidays, all the activities of the Belarusian diaspora in Germany in January will be mainly related to the topic of the so-called elections.
