Belarusians are being tried for “denying the genocide of the Belarusian people”

The article, which was invented in 2022, was first announced today in the Minsk court. The accused is 54-year-old Andrei Savitsky. 

According to the judge, the Belarusian administered an open group in social media “Odnoklassniki”, where there was a publication about the Second World War. In it, the author allegedly “denied the mass extermination of civilians in the village of Khatyn as a result of the punitive operation on March 22, 1943.

Andrei Savitsky was detained back in March and placed in custody. He is also accused of “insulting” Lukashenko. The trial continues in open mode.
