Participants of the “Ultimatum to Lukashenka” held a rally near the Chinese embassy in Warsaw. They sent an appeal to the diplomatic mission in order to China to take a firm position against the Lukashenka regime.
Activists do not give up hope for positive results in achieving their goals of freeing political prisoners, ending terror in Belarus and ending provocations on the Belarusian-Polish border. Therefore, they held a rally at the Chinese embassy.
“There is a large flow of goods from China across the Belarusian-Polish border. And at the same time, repressions continue, they are meaningless today, there is no need to carry them out. And this creates problems. The West has to react to this in some way, and we are pushing the West to such a reaction. And besides this problem with artificially created migrants, it will also lead to the fact that the border will be completely closed. And we have drawn the Chinese authorities’ attention to this,” says Anatol Fiodarau, a representative of the National Democratic Platform.
According to him, it is the Lukashenka regime that poses a threat to China’s economic and political interests in relations with the European Union with the complete closure of routes to the West.
It should be noted that according to the Weiquanwang rights website estimated on Jan. 31, 2024, that there are currently around 1,682 political prisoners behind bars in China. This is reported by Radio Free Asia.
