Belarusians Mikolaj Janowski and Igor Lukaszuk joined the new Sejmik of Podlaskie Voivodeship after the elections on April 7, 2024.
Mikolaj Janowski is a long-term Belarusian soldier, the owner and leader of the PSL agricultural party. Igor Lukaszuk – the deputy of the previous convocation-director of the Liceum in Hajnowka.
In total, the party “Law and Justice” (PiS) won the elections to the Sejmik of Podlaskie Voivodeship, gaining 43.47% of the votes.
The second place – with a score of 22.75% – was won by candidates from the “Civic Coalition” (KO). The electoral podium was supplemented by “The Third Road” coalition (TD), consisting of PSL and Polska 2050, which was voted for by 16.45% of voters in the region. The following places went to the committee “Confederation” and non-partisan – 9.95% and ”Levitsa” – 3.43% of the vote.
“Citizens for citizens ” scored 1.92%.
