Another traditional Sunday rally of representatives of the Belarusian diaspora in Warsaw was held at the Copernicus monument.
The main theme of the action is to protest against the decision of the Serbian court to extradite Belarusian director and journalist Andrei Gnyot to Belarus. What is unacceptable, says the organizer of the action Vasil Pleshkunou: “Sviatlana Cikhanouskaya and other politicians spoke in defense of Andrei Gnyot, so we once again come out to say that we are against European countries increasing the number of political prisoners in Belarus. Andrey Gnyot himself says this: I am one step away from being on the path to death”.

In addition to the main topic, many urgent questions were raised. The action was not numerous. According to critical comments, it was supposed to take place at the Serbian embassy.
Earlier, a Serbian court decided to extradite Andrei Gnyot, director and founder of the Free Association of Athletes (an opposition community that arose after 2020), to Belarus. This is stated in the court’s ruling issued in Belgrade.
In Belarus, a criminal case has been opened against Gnyot on tax evasion in the amount of about 300 thousand euros — he himself says that this accusation is politically motivated.
