The Belarusian Embassy in Vilnius has received a message from the Lithuanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs on the denunciation of the customs cooperation agreement. According to the Belarusian State Customs Committee, the agreement will cease operation on May 27, 2025.
This document has been regulating customs relations between Belarus and Lithuania for about 20 years. It concerns cooperation in many areas – from customs control to information exchange and joint measures to combat illicit trafficking in narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances.
Today, there are only two automobile checkpoints on the Belarusian-Lithuanian border — “Medininkai” – “Kamenny Log” and “Salcininkai” – “Beniakoni”.
