Kim Yo Jong, the sister of North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, sharply responded to Aliaksandr Lukashenka, who recently stated that the DPRK allegedly, among other countries, sent Belarus its proposals on organizing high-level meetings. This is stated on the website of the Central Telegraphic Agency of North Korea.
Kim Yo Jong draws attention to the fact that from the report of the Russian TASS news agency dated January 17, it can be concluded that it was the DPRK that proposed to hold a meeting in Minsk. “As far as I know, there is no such thing,” she says.
She assures that it is not North Korea, but Belarus that is asking for meetings. “I know very well that the Belarusian side has been sincerely counting on high—level contacts with the DPRK for at least two years,” Kim Yo Jong claims.
Thus, Kim Yo Jong actually accused Lukashenka of lying. “If you hope to develop cooperation with us, it is important to clearly state your intentions. I believe that truthfulness and honesty should be in bilateral relations between countries,” the sister of the North Korean dictator demands truthfulness.
