Official Minsk actually refused to find and extradite the murderer of the border guard to Poland

Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski

In response to Warsaw’s call to help identify the murderer of the Polish border guard, Minsk has filed charges against Poland. This was stated at a press conference by Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski.

“Belarus responded completely unsatisfactorily – instead of searching for and handing over the killer to us, Poland was accused of allegedly ending cooperation with the border guard service,” the newspaper quoted pap.pl Radoslaw Sikorsky.

The Polish Foreign Minister called Minsk’s accusations “another lie”: “Earlier, it was falsely claimed (by the Belarusian side) that it was Poland that violated the readmission agreement (procedures related to the return of people who illegally crossed into the EU). […] I checked, this is not true. It was Belarus that stopped implementing the readmission agreement after the sanctions imposed by the EU against Belarus after Belarus forced a European plane with Belarusian dissident Roman Protasevich to land in Minsk,” Radoslav Sikorsky explained”

It should be recalled that private Mateusz Sitek of the 1st Warsaw Armored Brigade, wounded with a knife on May 28 on the border with Belarus, died on June 6 in Warsaw. The soldier was injured during the termination of an attempt by a group of migrants to break through a steel fence from the Belarusian side.
