Poland has decided to extend the buffer zone on the border with Belarus

The buffer zone on the border with Belarus will continue to operate from September 11 for the next 90 days.

This was announced at a press conference on September 5 by the Minister of Internal Affairs and Administration of Poland Tomasz Siemoniak, writes Onet.

“The buffer zone on the border with Belarus will be in effect from September 11 for the next 90 days. It has brought good results, we do not want to change the distances. First of all, it is directed against smugglers. We have also recently made efforts to strengthen the fence (on the Polish-Belarusian border – ed.), work has been underway there for several days,” the minister said.
