The number of the Polish army will be increased to 230,000 troops in 2025, Polish Minister of National Defense Wladyslaw Kosiniak-Kamysz said.
The number of troops will continue to increase. By the end of the year, it should amount to about 230,000 soldiers, including more than 150,000 professional military personnel,” said Kosiniak-Kamysz, quoted by the press service of the Polish Ministry of Defense.
“We are simplifying the recruitment process for military service and military academies,” he said.
On January 1, 2025, the Polish army numbered 206 thousand people.including 144 thousand professional ones.
