Polish President Andrzej Duda has signed amendments to the law on measures to counter aggression against Ukraine and protect national security.

Amendments to the law approved by the president strengthen control over compliance with sanctions restrictions against Russia and Belarus.

Amendments to the law were adopted by the Sejm. Poland’s sanctions law continues to implement the measures taken by the European Union in response to Russia’s military invasion of Ukraine and Belarus’ involvement in aggression. The accepted changes will take effect 14 days after the official publication.
