Polish fighter jets were lifted into the air during the Russian attack on Ukraine

Polish military aircraft and NATO allied aircraft were deployed this morning to ensure security in areas bordering dangerous zones in Ukraine, after Russia launched drone strikes, Reuters writes, citing the Polish military.

“The operational Command of the Armed Forces is monitoring the current situation, its forces and resources are in full readiness for an immediate response,” the command said on the social network X.

Pairs of fighter jets on duty were lifted into the air, and ground-based air defense and radar reconnaissance systems were brought to the highest level of readiness, the report said.

As previously reported, the Russian army carried out new attacks on Ukrainian energy facilities on Tuesday night and in the morning. The company Ukrenergo has announced emergency power outages.
