The trial of political prisoner journalist and blogger Ihar Karney, who was sentenced to three years in prison in March this year, took place in the Shklou district court.
Judge Aliaksandr Tarakanau found Ihar guilty under the article “Malicious disobedience to the requirements of the colony administration” and sentenced him to another eight months in prison.
It is known that the administration of the Shklou colony #17 placed the journalist several times in a cell-type room. He has now been criminally convicted of “violations” for which he has already received penalties from the administration.
