Political prisoners were not allowed to attend the church liturgy in the Grodna prison

In the Grodna prison, 12 clerics celebrated the liturgy, which Orthodox political prisoners were not allowed to attend.

Archbishop Anthony (Daronin) of Grodna and Vaukavysk celebrated the Liturgy in prison No. 1 of Grodna in the presence of eleven priests. The service took place within the framework of events dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the prison ministry of the Belarusian Exarchate.

According to @christianvision, the published photos show that convicts were present at the service, but there is not one with a yellow tag — the distinctive sign of those convicted of political articles. There are not even those political prisoners who are known to be Orthodox believers: Mikalai Autukhovich, the son of the political prisoner Pavel Rezanovich, and the Christian publicist Pavel Seviarynets are serving their sentences in prison No. 1.

It is known that Pavel Seviarynets has been unsuccessfully seeking a meeting with a priest and participation in the liturgy for many years.
