Tadeusz Truskolaski becomes mayor of Bialystok for the fifth time

The current mayor of Bialystok, Tadeusz Truskaliaski, won the election on April 7, 2024 for the post of mayor of the city in the first round.

This is Truskolaski’s fifth term in office, and according to the law, the last one. The politician scored 56.32 percent. His closest competitor, Henryk Dębowski from “Law and Justice” (PiS) scored 33.45%.

Tadeusz Truskolaski is 65 years old. A habilitated doctor, an economist. He has been in charge of Bialystok since December 2006. In the current elections, he started with the support of “The Third Road” coalition.

The results of the elections to the Parliament of the city of Bialystok are also known. The majority of seats in it will be occupied by representatives of the ruling coalition – “Civic Platform”, “Levitsa” and “The Third Road”.

But in the elections to the Sejmik of Podlaskie voivodeship, the PiS party won, which has 43.47% of the votes. The “Civil coalition” scored 22.75%, and “The Third Road” – 16.45%.
