The drones beat up the air defense in the Homel region

On the night of February 13, Belarusian air defense systems were operating in the Homel region.

According to the pro-government Telegram channel Belorussky Silovik, “around half past midnight, the air defense systems of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus shot down a transit guest over Homel.”

At the same time, it is not specified whether this drone belongs to Ukraine or Russia.

The telegram channel “Flagstaff – Homel region” reported that the drone was shot down at about 00:32 over Homel. Fragments fell to the ground in the Central and northeastern parts of the city.

“The sound of the explosion was heard throughout the city and in the suburbs. In Homel, car alarms went off due to the blast wave, residents of the city felt the vibration of the walls of their houses. There was a burning smell on the street,” the message says, referring to residents of Homel.

The Telegram channel of the Homel Regional Executive Committee reacted at night to reports of the downing of drones. The authorities urged not to panic and not to react “to provocations.”

The Ministry of Defense of Belarus has not yet commented on this information.

The Ukrainian Air Force Command reported that on the night of February 13, Russian troops attacked Ukrainian cities in several waves with 140 attack drones and imitation drones.
