The Lukashenka authorities have listed comedian Slava Komissarenko as an “extremist”

The famous stand-up comedian Slava Komissarenko has been added to the so-called “list of extremists” by the Lukashenka authorities. They also added 21 more people.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs has traditionally expanded the “List of Belarusian citizens, foreign citizens or stateless persons involved in extremist activities.” Opponents of the Lukashenka regime, those who criticize him and the current state system, are usually recorded there.

In December 2024, stand-up comedian Slava Komissarenko was sentenced in absentia to 6 years in a penal colony. The 39-year-old comedian was found guilty of slandering Lukashenka, insulting Lukashenka and inciting hostility. His case was considered in the framework of special proceedings. Slava Komissarenko lives abroad.
