Polish President Andrzej Duda refused to take a group photo with the participants of the climate summit because of Lukashenka, Polish TV channel Polsat reported.
“It was a conscious decision of the president. A family photo is a family photo, the president has decided that he does not want to have a family photo with Aliaksandr Lukashenka, – a person from President Duda’s entourage in Baku told the TV channel. – Such gestures are important in politics, and it was a conscious action by the president.”
The climate Summit in Baku began on November 11. Countries are discussing progress in the fight against climate change. The conference will end on November 24 with a final statement.
In particular, US President Joe Biden, French President Emmanuel Macron, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, Chinese President Xi Jinping, and Russian President Vladimir Putin refrained from participating in the UN Environmental forum in Baku.
