
On December 24, stand-up comedian Slava Komissarenko was tried in absentia. His case is being considered by judge Anastasia Papko in the Minsk City Court, the pro-government Belta news agency reports.
Vyachaslau is accused of “slandering Lukashenka” and “inciting hostility”.
The Investigative Committee began special proceedings against the stand-up comedian on August 15, 2024.
The Public Prosecutor announced the charges. According to the case file, Komissarenko posted on the Internet a number of videos with statements containing slander and insults against the Belarusian dictator, as well as allegedly inciting social hatred. After that, the court began examining evidence in the Komissarenko criminal case.
The stand-up comedian has been living abroad for a long time.
