14 million zlotys from European funds for energy storage in Podlasie

Vice Marshals of the Voivodeship Wieslawa Burnos and Marek Malinowski signed agreements with representatives of six municipalities that received subsidies for energy storage in Podlasie.

The cost of the investment is more than 16 million zlotys, co-financing from European funds is another 14 million zlotys.

“The subsidies are designed to meet the expectations of local authorities as well as local residents. This will improve the use of energy from renewable sources. I would like to remind you that we have given 14 such subsidies for a quota of 51 million zlotys,” says Vice Marshal Marek Malinowski.

Mayor of Michalowo Marek Nazarko stressed the importance of the project and noted that its main beneficiaries are the residents of Podlasie. “This is really a very important investment. This will make it possible to use energy very efficiently. It is also an important step towards a green transformation,” he said.

The proceeds from the subsidies will go to two cities – more than 4 million zlotys in Bielsk Podlaski and almost 1.5 million zlotys in Siemiatycze. Four gminas of Podlasie also received funding: Nowe Piekuty – more than 835 thousand zlotys, Michalowo – almost 2.5 million zlotys, Wyszki – almost 3.2 million zlotys and Hajnowka – more than 1.7 million zlotys.
