The Marshal of the Podlaskie Voivodeship invited entrepreneurs and firms to participate in the competition of the Podlaskie Export Center, which the Voivodeship Administration conducts jointly with the Podlaskie Regional Development Fund, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Podlaskie Business Club. The total amount spent by the future winners of the competition is 25 million zlotys.
First of all, 54 gminas of Podlasie, which border Belarus, are invited to participate in the competition.
“Given our international situation and the closed border with Belarus, we invite 54 rural gminas that directly border the Belarusian border to participate in the competition, but producers from all gminas of the voivodeship can take part in this competition,” said Marshal Lukasz Prokorym.
Pavel Jamroz, President of the Podlasie Regional Development Fund, stressed the importance of supporting exports from Podlasie due to the closure of the border with Belarus.
“For example, KABO company from near Bialystok was selling a lot of sausages and various other products to Belarus. There are no exports after the border is closed. A lot of rural equipment was also sold to Belarus. Because the border is closed, there is no exchange. Plus, Belarusians don’t come to shopping. This was also a very significant point. We want it all to come back later,” he said.
The funds of the competition can be used for innovation, new products, business trips, construction work or employee training. The total amount of the competition is 25 million zlotys, of which 8 million zlotys is the maximum amount for the project. Applications are accepted until the end of February 2025.
