France is deciding which country to deport Belarusian artist Aliaksei Kuzmich to. Russia was named among the options.
As it became known, the administrative court annulled the decision of the prefecture on his deportation to Belarus. After that, the Belarusian was handcuffed and returned to the deportation center in a paddy wagon.
Kuzmich has been on a hunger strike for the ninth day, protesting against violations of his rights and detention.
Aliaksei Kuzmich has conducted a number of scandalous performances in Belarus, including political overtones. A criminal case was opened against him in his homeland. The artist went abroad, but also staged several performances in France. Recently, he tried to dig up the grave of the famous artist Van Gogh, for which he was detained by the police. The court sentenced Kuzmich to a fine.
