A New Year’s gift! A new book dedicated to the Nobel Peace Prize laureate Ales Bialiatski is for your attention and perusal.
The publication became possible thanks to the joint work of three Bialystok structures: the Belarusian Radio Radio and the weekly journal of Belarusians in Poland “Niva” and the Center for Civic Education Poland-Belarus.
The book contains conversations between Mikhal Androsiuk and Ales Bialiatski from the series “Eyes to eyes”, which were played on the Belarusian Radio Radio, Ales Bialiatski’s memoirs about the Maksim Bahdanovich Museum, which were also published on our website, interviews with Ales Bialiatski, which were played on our radio, the Nobel speech, which was read by the wife of the laureate Natallia Pinchuk, the last Bialiatski’s word on the political punitive process and his letters from the Soviet army, which are being published for the first time.
The publication is richly illustrated with photographs reflecting the personality of Ales Bialiatski from childhood right up to the moment of his last imprisonment.
