A new route for the supply of luxury cars bypassing sanctions passes through Belarus

Luxury cars continue to enter Russia bypassing sanctions. Belarusian logistics companies play an important role in this scheme.

Previously, “anti-sanctions” schemes included the transportation of expensive cars from the EU to the Baltic states, such as Latvia, and then their transportation through Belarus to Russia. However, such routes were subsequently blocked, in particular, the rail shipments of cars through Latvia were stopped.

According to the railwaymen, the new scheme for the delivery of luxury cars is a bypass route from the seaports of the European Union (mainly the Baltic States) and directly from suppliers in Europe through Turkey, Iran, Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, Russia and Belarus. Customs clearance of cars takes place in Belarus, mainly at the Bremino-Group logistics center, which is designated as the alleged final destination. After legalization in Belarus, cars are sent to their final customers in Russia.
