A program for the development of competencies in kindergartens is being launched in Bialystok

A press conference on the project “Comprehensive Talent and Core Competencies Development Program in BOF kindergartens” was held in Bialystok.

Within the framework of the project, more than 36 million zlotys have been allocated from the program “European Funds for Podlaskie Voivodeship 2021-2027” to improve the quality of preschool education in 128 institutions in Bialystok and the surrounding area.

The importance of the project was emphasized by Marshal of Podlaskie Voivodeship Lukasz Prokorym: “An excellent project for 40 million zloty, of which 36 million zloty comes from the European Funds for Podlaskie Voivodeship. This is a project that shows a clear concern for our youngest residents when we think about our future and the success of our region.”

Tadeusz Truskolaski, Mayor of Bialystok, who is also Chairman of the BOF Board, recalled that the current EU budget for 2021-2027 is the second financial allocation from which the association benefits.

“The Bialystok functional zone now has 11 municipalitetis. This is the second financial allocation from the European Union, when we cooperate together. This is very important, because for children. And investing 40 million children – 36 million of whom come from the EU – is really a huge subsidy,” he said.

The program includes the repair of playgrounds, the purchase of equipment, as well as educational and compensatory activities. The program will affect almost 8,000 children in Bialystok and the surrounding area and will help 350 teachers improve their professional skills. The project will be completed on June 30, 2029.
