A youth group from Ukraine will visit Bialystok on a study visit

As part of the 20th anniversary of the Study Tours to Poland (STP) program, a youth group from Ukraine will visit Bialystok from November 9th to 19th.

The program provides for a meeting with representatives of local authorities and self-government, the Belarusian-Ukrainian public sector. The Foundation “Tutaka” is responsible for the Belarusian part of the visit program.

“There have been no such visits in Bialystok for a long time. They should talk about self-government, the activities of non-governmental organizations, cooperation between the authorities and the public and various initiatives. To tell about higher education institutions, about freedom of the media. A little bit about history, transformation. A little bit of European theme. At the same time, to have a free hand also in order to give room for understanding who Belarusians are, and also to tell about the presence of the Belarusian national minority in Podlasie,” a representative of the Foundation “Tutaka” told about the circumstances of the visit Dzmitry Koscin.

As part of the study visit, the youth group will meet with Podlaskie voivode Jacek Brzozowski, the leadership of Bialystok University, Belarusian and Ukrainian initiatives of the city, and will also visit the town and Warsaw, where they will meet with the head of the National anti-crisis management Pavel Latushka. Separately, the group will visit the editorial office of the Belarusian Radio Racja and get acquainted with the work of the radio station.
