350 former Belarusian volunteers are currently in Poland, former soldier of the Kastus Kalinouski Regiment, head of the foundation of the Association of Belarusian Veterans Pavel Maryeuski said at a meeting with Deputy Speaker of the Polish Senate Michal Kaminski.
The meeting was held on December 19, and Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya’s adviser on constitutional reform and parliamentary cooperation Anatol Liabedzka also participated in it, the Parliamentary channel reports.
“Belarusians who are fighting in Ukraine are heroes who defend Europe from Russia. It hurts and offends me that for one reason or another their problems are not being solved. I don’t have ready answers right now, but I promise that we will try to find them,” Michal Kaminski said at the meeting, referring to the difficulties of former volunteers with legalization and socialization in European countries.
