Belarus is at the end of the world ranking of health systems, Poland is 12 positions higher

Belarus ranked 88th out of 94 in the latest global Health Care Index for 2024, published by the international database Numbeo. Poland is on the 76th.

Thus, Belarus turned out to be the only European country in the ranking with a health index of less than 50 points.

There are 94 countries in the ranking, among which Belarus took 88th place. Nigeria is one line above Belarus (87th place), Azerbaijan is lower (89th).

Among the neighboring countries of Belarus, Poland is the lowest in the ranking – it is in 76th place, followed by Ukraine – in 75th place, Russia took 55th position, Latvia-52nd, Lithuania — 16th.

Asian countries topped the ranking – Taiwan (1st place), South Korea (2nd) and Japan (3rd). At the end of the ranking — Venezuela (94th place), Bangladesh (93rd) and Morocco (92nd).

The healthcare Index compiled by Numbeo is an assessment of the overall quality of the healthcare system, the professional level of doctors and other medical personnel, the quality of medical equipment, prices of medical services, etc. in different countries. It is compiled on the basis of surveys conducted over the past 36 months among visitors to the Numbeo portal, residents of the relevant countries, and not on the database of national statistical services.
