The absence of a language barrier, the relative “europeanness” of cities and an acceptable level of service. Belarus is becoming more and more attractive for Russian tourists.
According to “Vedomosti” newspaper, in the ranking of countries where the eastern neighbors will go to celebrate the New Year holidays, Belarus took the third place, immediately after Thailand and Turkey.
One of the arguments for visiting our country is transport accessibility.
At the same time, a New Year’s holiday in Belarus does not look like a budget holiday. According to “Ostrovok” travel service, the average cost of staying in a Belarusian hotel will be more than $100.
For example, a night in Italy will cost about 136 euros. And in Thailand and Turkey, prices are 121 and 105 dollars, respectively. There are also cheaper offers. A hotel in Azerbaijan will cost an average of $75, about the same amount in Armenia.
Since last year, hotel prices during the New Year holidays in Belarus have increased by 22%, more than in any of the countries where Russian tourists travel en masse.
The government has already summed up the tourism results of the year. Prime Minister of Belarus Raman Galouchanka said that the export of tourist services is expected to reach $270 million. These figures exceed the pre-pandemic period, but fall short of those that Galouchanka had hoped for.
