Belarus has been the largest export market for Polish apple producers for the second year in a row.
In July, the country purchased 2,993 tons of these products from Poland, which is twice as much as from the second largest importer, Kazakhstan. This was written by a Polish specialized portal sad24.pl.
At the same time, Poland notes that the supply of their apples to the EU countries has significantly decreased. In July, 7.1 thousand tons were delivered there, which is almost two times less than a year ago in the same month. Supplies are also decreasing in the eastern direction. So, Belarus bought 4.5 thousand tons a year ago in July, and now less than 3 thousand tons. Mongolia became the third largest eastern buyer of Polish apples in July — 598 tons.
At the same time, July became the last month when Polish apples could be imported to Belarus. The agreement on this between the two countries was valid from April 1 to the end of July.
