Belarus signed 50 intergovernmental and interstate agreements on air transport. This was stated at a press conference dedicated to the Day of Civil Aviation Workers, Director of the Aviation Department of the Ministry of Transport and Communications Ihar Golub.
Last year, an air service agreement was signed with Oman, and last week with Saudi Arabia and the Seychelles. The procedures for internal coordination have been completed and intergovernmental agreements on air services with Venezuela and Kenya are ready to be signed.
“The signed intergovernmental agreements are the legal basis for the operation and organization of flights, contribute to the strengthening of economic, tourist and commercial ties between the countries,” Ihar Golub noted.
He added that after determining the legal basis, air carriers are involved in the work, in particular the Belavia airline, which at its level begins to interact with the airport administration and other organizations.
