79 artists are banned from performing in Russia, but this “black list” also applies to citizens of other countries.
Belarusian artists, as well as natives of Belarus, are banned: these are stand-up comedians Slava Kamisaranka, Idrak Mirzalidze, Iryna Prykhodzka and Vanya Usovich, singers Max Korzh, Tima Belarusskikh and Natalla Padolskaya, Belarusian bands LSP and 5diez.
As verstka.media found out, the basis for inclusion to the list of banned artists may be the communication of stars with departed bloggers and musicians, as well as with artists with an obvious anti-war position. Even if the performer himself does not make political statements, but is friends with those who express them, this is enough to get on the “black list”.
Tracks of all performers included to the new “black list” are prohibited from being used in advertising campaigns, and the stars themselves are prohibited from promoting Russian brands.
