Google does not consider the Belarusian language to be allowed on its commercial advertising platforms. This is claimed by the initiators of a special petition.
The petition calls for solving the main problems faced by Belarusian-speaking users. Among other things, it is a ban on business advertising in the Belarusian language. “All attempts to solve the problem through the Google Ads support service have failed,” says Dzmitry Burdyka, the initiator of the petition. “I think this can be called discrimination based on language and violation of human rights,” he added.
The petition was created back in 2020, the stated goal is 35 thousand signatures. At that time, 34,577 people had signed the appeal.
